Actually the lake is located in the Wuchang District which is part of the Wuhan perfecture.
The distance to travel won't be far: Route
The East Lake is the largest lake inside a city in China and has lot of scenic spots along its shore.
The total area of Wuchang is 82,4 square kilometers of which the lake is covering an area of 33 square kilometres (which is 40 %).
Because of its winding banks and crisscrossing ponds and brooks, it is called 'a lake with 99 bays'.
Over 70 various constructions were built along the lake, including pavilions, terraces, and towers,
together with more than 2 million species of trees.
